Welcome to the Victor Water for Life diary, where we keep you apprised of our progress as we work to lift African communities out of poverty.
Our journey will inevitably be long, but we’re making amazing progress. We’ve already selected our first “Star location.” Star locations are made up of a central hub, called the “heart,” that provides health care, education, and energy services to a network of surrounding villages.
Our first Star location is headquartered in Tabora, Tanzania. The surrounding star points are Ndala, Kigwa, Sikonge, Mabama, Ulyankulu, and Mambali.
This is the first step toward accomplishing our goal of creating self-sustainable communities that provide residents with potable water, teach them how to grow their own food, and help them support each other in times of need.
As we complete each step of the process and move closer to enacting our mission, we will fill this diary with the latest updates — sometimes even from the people out in the field making it happen. But most of all, remember that it is your support that is ultimately making this all possible. We want to make sure we keep you up to date on everything that is happening because of your generous support.
